2008 - 2009

STVV and Lierse appeared as the second team to be beat. The yellow-blue family remained faithful to the Canaries and with many people they went to the away games. Tienen-STVV was good for 4500 visitors!

The Canaries started the season well, the first 11 matches remained unbeaten. It was a tough fight between STVV and Lierse, a battle that was won twice by Lierse. Sint-Truiden remained the leader in the second division throughout the season. So it was a great season for the Truienaars.

With two more days to go, the champagne bottles could pop: champion and back to first class! A celebration not to be forgotten.
