2012 - 2013

After the moderate season and the relegation Franky Van der Elst was dismissed as trainer of Sint-Truiden. His successor was an old acquaintance, Guido Brepoels. The dream start that STVV made a few years ago, unfortunately did not work out.

As the season progressed, Yellow-Blue rose in the rankings. However, the club never claimed the title.

STVV finished in fourth place. The Canaries also played in the second division the following season. At the end of the season Brepoels was replaced by Yannick Ferrera.
