Farewell guys!

Farewell, Boys!

Today the players of STVV stepped back on the training fields at the Sint-Jansstraat for the first time in 2 months. A long awaited first training for coach Hollerbach and his staff.

Some players are leaving the ship of STVV and will therefore not be part of the preparation program.

The contracts of Nelson Balongo, Wim Vanmarsenille and Ko Matsubara have expired. By mutual agreement, the Club and the players have decided not to renew them. These three players have been part of the first team of STVV for almost 3 years and have all contributed to the good results of the team. A big thank you to you guys and we wish you all the best in your future careers.

Rocco Reitz, Junior Pius, João Klauss, Alessandro Russo, Dimitri Lavalée and Taichi Hara, this season's loanees, return to their home club. Thank you for being part of the STVV family. We wish you all the best in your careers.

As for the loaned out players, Jonathan Buatu finishes his loan spell in Turkey. Oleksandr Filippov will remain in Latvia until December. Jhonny Lucas is still in Brazil for the upcoming season, while Tatsuya Ito has just extended his loan spell in Germany by one year.

Farewell to all of you guys! We hope to see you again soon.

Finally, the coaching staff prefers to train with players who will be part of the squad next season. Therefore, together with Steve De Ridder and his manager, we are looking for new opportunities for the 35-year-old Gentenaar. We are very grateful to Steve for having been great for yellow-blue both on and off the field and we hope to find a solution for him as soon as possible to continue his brilliant career.

All other players returned today for medical tests and the first training session. Mory Konaté (Guinea) and Daniel Schmidt (Japan) are still with their national teams, while Kenny Steppe is still rehabilitating. Some youngsters from the B team are also joining the squad for preparation.
