After receiving a straight red card in the game against KV Mechelen on November 6th, 20221, Robert Bauer had to face the Disciplinary Committee of the RBFA.
Bauer received an initial sanction of 3 effective matchdays (+ 1 suspended matchday) and a fine of €3.500. The Club and the player went into appeal and yesterday afternoon, the Disciplinary Committee ruled a the following sanction: 4 effective matchdays (+ 1 suspended matchday) and a fine of €4.500.
In other words, we will be missing Robert Bauer for:
- STVV - Antwerp
- Seraing - STVV
- STVV - Union Saint-Gilloise
- STVV - Cercle Brugge
The Club definitely stands behind Robert's claim that he did not intend to injure the player of KV Mechelen, Ferdy Druijf, but accepts the sentence given by the Disciplinary Committee.
We wish Ferdy Druijf a speedy recovery.
