"We have to play as a team and not as individuals"

Stayen is get ready for another home game, STVV - KV Oostende

Gameday 10 is here and we're welcoming the Kustboys at Stayen. After 9 points in the last 4 games, the Canaries are looking for another 3 points to add to their total. Not an easy task for the Canaries, although the statistics say differently. KVO hasn't won a single game at Stayen in the last 9 home games (5W & 4D). The last time Oostende scored at Stayen was actually in April 2018. Coach Hollerbach: "I don't like statistics. It's a different year, with two different teams and a lot of different conditions. For example, last season, we lost 6-3 to Beerschot and this season we win 1-0. So, we don't focus on that, we just work hard and prepare for the game as much as possible".

KV Oostende and STVV are tied with 13 points each and both teams want to pack some points. "Oostende is a tough team because they got a good manager who makes its players work hard, just like ours. We analyzed them a lot and really worked hard this week to put all of the chances to beat them. We have to play as a team and not as individuals.", said Liberato Cacace. The New Zealander celebrated his 21st birthday on Monday. "You know, it doesn't change anything to me, I'm still going to work hard. Since arriving to STVV, I've improved on my placement and on my movements. Now, if I could add some assists and some goals to my teller, I think that should be my objectives. Hopefully, I can open it already on Saturday".

STVV-KVO is also the last match before the interlands break, which for some players is synonymous with international duties. "I'm playing two friendlies with New Zealand against Curaçao and Bahrein. It's always nice to represent my country of course", told us our very own Kiwi. For the other players, Coach Hollerbach has scheduled a friendly game against Duisburg to keep them in shape and ready to go. "I like friendlies because it allows players who play less to get some playing time and to show their abilities. I think right now with our group we have a lot more competition within the group and we need to keep that on edge."

Kick-off at Stayen is at 18.30. Be there!
